Go see, great movie, better than 'House of 1000 Corpses'. Rob Zombie is becoming a really great horror film director, he's actually making horror movies scary again. A brilliant, contemporary take on 70s classics such as 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'The Hills Have Eyes'.....

Totally disagree Lizard, 'House of 1000 Corpses', while a cut above rubbish like 'Scream 2/3' and 'Urban Legends' was still somewhat guilty of that execrable late 90s trend in US horror films of self-reflexivity and trying to be 'clever-clever, nudge-nudge-wink-wink', oh-arent-we-sooooooo-amusing-and-fucking-post-modern AND NOT SCARY IN THE FUCKING SLIGHTEST!!!!

Devils Rejects has none of this crap, it's truly Apocalyptic Horror in the style of the greats - Romero, Hooper, Craven (before he went shit....). What humour there was in Devils Rejects was of an incredibly dark, nervous variety, just as in 'Texas Chain Saw Massacre' and 'Dawn of the Dead' (the originals obviously....), not the fucking Kevin Williams variety (IMHO, Kevin Williams was the absolute worst thing to ever happen to horror films....)

At no point did I feel nervous watching 'House of 1000 Corpses' (although, I thought Sid Haig did a fantastic piece of acting as Captain Spaulding, and he goes a step beyond this in Devils Rejects), I felt almost totally on edge throughout Devils Rejects' 105 minute run-time. 'House of 1000 Corpses' felt like a 90 minute Rob Zombie video, Devil's Rejects is a real film....
