I am sure, compared to long standing festivals such as Black Celebration it wont pull such a crowd, but with the exception of P.A.L. I see no-one else on the line up worth seeing, and if you would rather pay to see these trite EBM bands who mime, as opposed to playing live... I seem to remember when Covenant played a few years back and their DAT fucked up halfway through their set, thus proving this point, and yet still the muppets in the audience cheered them afterwards instead of heckling in disgust. Not something I thought was acceptable for a headlining act, and so was quite glad I hadnt parted with good money to get in.
And to be honest the UK noise industrial scene is starting to pick up, we have some really good acts hailing from this fair isle.. Mothboy, Keef Baker (Sharps Injury), Detritus, and although Dundee is a bit of a trek, I will certainly be doing my best to give them my support.

well i am looking forward to infest and seeing pow[d]er pussy and punch inc.
actually punch inc had what i would call the set of their life at last forms of hands festival.
Keef Baker was not totally my bag but i generally prefer noise bands to sound less techno and somewhat more power electronics without losing the stompy industrial type of rhythm.
am i dreaming this up or is Converter from the uk?
if so, is there any chance to get him to play sometime?

if you would rather pay to see these trite EBM bands who mime,
Rico EBM??? Fuck off!!! He's Industrial Punk! He sounds sod all like Covenant, he's got more in common with Alec Empire or Trent Reznor....
In fact, I wouldnt say Mesh were EBM either, electro/synth pop is a better description, and they dont fucking mime either....
You obviously missed Apop at Black Celebration three years back, when they had a FULL BAND set-up - guitars, live drums, the works......

Ok, so maybe I put synth bands under the EBM umbrella, but Rico similar to Alec Empire & Trent Reznor? Judging by their last gig at Slimelight... fuck no. I will give you the Reznor, owing only to his dwindling music writing ability (with teeth can only be descibed as poor) but Alec Empire!?! ok so again, his last album (futurist) fucking dire, but still ....
and have you heard the new Apop tune?

I dont think much of Apop's newer stuff, I'm going to hear them play older songs.
Sorry, totally disagree on 'With Teeth' and 'Futurist', both bloody good albums IMHO, 'With Teeth' is an improvement on the hit-and-miss 'Fragile', far more consistent (maybe cos Reznor didnt make the mistake of doing a double CD this time out), Alec Empire's intention with 'Futurist' was to make a Punk album, but using his usual tech-trickery, I reckon it was mostly a success.
I said Rico had more in common with Empire and Reznor, I didnt say he was the same, but he's definitely not to be put in the same bracket as Covenant or Apop. I enjoyed his gig at Slimes, :p
