Would you pay more for Slimelight?

Firstly, this is a totally unofficial poll, I am in no way associated with the Slimelight management

Personally, I would like to see better decor, better lighting and a better sound system, and would be prepared (as a member) to pay Ł7 to get in for this, how does everyone else feel? (please also add comments, as just voting, although expressing an opinion, will not re-enforce/ repudiate this suggestion

(Please note, this is not meant to be in any way inflammatory, I am just making a suggestion which I think would improve Slimelight

Aye, keep it dark & (semi) dirty. Tis what makes it what it is. Gives it it's own character.

Slime's like the ugly sister with the greatest personality you've ever met.

Aesthetically displeasing maybe, but at the heart of it, you wouldn't want anything else.

With regard to the decor I'm with the Captain but the soundsystem downstairs could do with a revamp.

No definatley the decor (or lack of) should stay.It gives it that unique 'no frills' look to it. :wink:
It would be nice to have cleaner toilets and maybe in some of the toilets actual taps/taps that work would be good too.

thing is, does slimes actually own electrowrokz or does it rent out the space? it might be that they aren't actually able to improve the decor or something, but as i have no clue about the owernship of electroworkz i can't really comment.

i'm gonna agree with sin about the cleaner toilets though, they have a bit too much character for my liking hehe.

SLIMES is great the way it is... got that illegal/ squat feel to it!! Dar kand Dirty = fun!!! Don't know if i'd pay more thou... only go very rarely as it is cos i can't afford it!!! Wish i could go every week

i dont go as much but not because of finance.
last sat i went the music was good (not the same old shit) but the atmosphere was piss poor. It's almost like if all the ballroom lot fucked off down to slimes & the coffee drinking bouncers let them alllllllllllll pass though. :?

Wouldn't go that far, but it definately wasn't up to the usual standard. Think it was more to do with a lot of people going to the Ballroom on Fri & either not making it to Slime, or, like myself, not being overly energetic at Slime after the mayhem that occurred on Fri.

This week tho I intend to be on full form! :D

But back onto the subject, it suprises me that few people have commented on the quality of the sound system, especially on the ebm/goth floor
