Hi guys, I want to get into powernoize in a big way.

At the moment I only have in my collection Combichrist - the joy of gunz which is ok but I want harder stuff.

So can any of you guys recommend any powernoize tracks or albums that are worth picking up?

I want the really hard fast noizy stuff the most. Something with a lot of base.

If any of you guys can help that woulb be great, thanks!
:D

Some albums to start you off:

Hypnoskull/Electronic Music Means War To Us
Pal/Signum
Winterkalte/Drum N Noise
Noisex/Groupieshock
Asche/Distorted Disco
Converter/Blast Furnace
Manufactura/Regression
Terrorfakt/Cold Steel World

The above are my favourites and are all recommended as are pretty good works from start to finish.

how can everyone forget Pow[d]er Pussy (yeah ok so not noise as such, but still awesome)??

and This Morn' omina (k again, not exactly noise, but still way way cool ;))

then, Xotox, HIV+, Mono No Aware, Iszoloscope, Synapscape, Industriepalast and 5f_55 are favs [for me at least]

and make sure to check out hive Records as well, it's cool ;)

Industriepalast

That always makes me think of some kind of pastry based treat for some reason.

And yeah, I should have added Xotox/Lichtlos to my list.

Not all noize appeals to everyone, so many different shades of it.

You might be better off listening to compilations and then going from there:

Any of the following: Maschinenfest , Hands, Forms of hands . All of them release a new complilation every year..........
all of sample tracks of just about all the bands mentioned above.

...or you could ask the top floor djs and look at the setlists...... :)

Compilations are a good idea, there are many forms of noise from minimalist heavy industrial to harsh fast techno based stuff there really is a wide variety you can always check out the links section HERE (http://www.clubimplant.co.uk/links.asp) for a more detailed exploration of said genre, most of the artists and labels are noise based :)

Also come and visit the top floor when either Pete Mark Francesca Mac or myself are playing we will be happy to tell you what were spinning

Hope that helps
