God, I remember when a 3 floor special meant you got the "trance floor" as an extra.
Yeah, the downstairs floor (ground) was originally a techno floor ... didn't last too long, as it wasn't the most popular!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but if you really really dislike it so much at Slimelight and are eager to mingle with people who have been/are into trad goth then there are plenty more trad orientated nights springing up at the moment (Dead And Buried springs to mind,I'm sure others will know of more).I don't like ALL the music at Slime either but I think you get a decent enough variety over the course of the night (in terms of trying to keep the majority of people happy if you do not fall into this majority maybe you should try a club where you are in the majority?).

Well said Rivetmike!! It seems there's always someone wanting to winge, when they should just move with the times.

I have nothing against trad goth at all,it just seems pointless going to a club that you don't agree with the music policy........we all know that Slime used to be exclusively goth/punk but if it still was would it be as busy?

Move with the times or move with the majority of people?
Personally I would rather stay comfortably right where I am then move into the effortless and monotonous 'times' as advised by demonbitch.

Good!
[Added note:] "effortless and monotonous" is surely playing old tunes and not making an effort to innovate or move on. It's a good thing we have DJs like Panic. He innovates.

Which is fine, after all effortless and monotonous is your own personal opinion........
........If there is such a demand for an exclusive trad goth club on a Saturday night surely setting one up would be a piece of the proverbial,no?

you`ve been around a while then??fair play i wasn`t having a go at you
but there are alot of people in this scene who will be out of it in time to come and in to something new.i myself got into this in the height of the"gloomy goth scene" back in the 80`s :P

It's got nothing to do with being a sheep, or following "the latest trendy bleep sound to show how with the times" you are.
Have a listen to Panic for instance! He is far ahead of alot of DJs; he's very underground & unusual, but also excellent; Is that "latest trendy bleep sound"? Is that "with the times"? Is that being a sheep?
I think not!! baaaaaa!!!!
he's very underground & unusual
Is he one of the Mole People?! 8O
