This applies to anyone who is into the EBM n Future-Pop type of music.
As some of you on here will already know I'm very serious about music production and I've been sending out promos to DJs over the last year or so.
I've handed out 2 copies of my most recent tracks (No Way Out and ID-1) to selected Slimelight DJs.
I am aiming to help promote myself throu local club-play in London as well as clubs in the U.S. which have already shown interest.
All I'm asking is that anyone who would be interested in the above mentioned genres of music check out the profile below, listen to the top 2 tracks listed, and if you think either or both would make a good addition to a Slimelight set then simply sign your name/username with a short message of support.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks to anyone who is willing to support me :o)

For sure !!!!! :D Both especially ID-1!!! we should all support new acts!it adds variety and interest!! I like listening to all the old EBM favs but in general its great to personally discover new underground bands to listen to..its called progression...something which slime could perhaps do a little more of!

8) Very good idea if you ask me. Its all about being open-minded.. well at least it should be, which means we've got to give new stuff a chance!

You have my support. Good Luck!!

:D some nice tracks you have there. I think they would definately get people moving on the dancefloor :)

I'd like to add that i d personally like to hear more new stuff at slimelight... amateur and unsigned artists. I think everyone deserves a chance, and theres a lot of really fucking good stuff out there, that just doesnt get heard What a waste!

This may be the case but I'm not convinced that an online petition is the best way about getting your band played. You are in effect disregarding the DJS choice (which is only going to annoy them). I think that good music will always shine though (eventually) and if you are not able to get it played at Slime through the traditional channels (i.e making sure DJs have copies) then perhaps you should start to widen the net to look for clubs that will play it. Online petitions are not often a good indication of how in demand something is as are pretty open to corruption (mutiple voting, people doing it anyway as it's a mate and only takes a second etc.)

All I'm saying is if I were a Slime DJ and I had a copy of a track that was good enough then I would not hesitate in playing it, an online petition wouldn't really be proof enough to sway me if I initially thought the track wasn't good enough.

Good luck

Yeah I see your point.
I have had a couple of DJs interested and have chatted to me about spinning tracks at Synthetic Culture so at least I have a place to start. Just thought that bringing support for the material to their attention might be a good way of saying that yes this is totally independent new music but it has potential.
I'm not after hassling the DJs about this as I know they're both real nice people who often play some great stuff including a lot of undiscovered gems, like Code 64 for example.
Thanks for your input on this and yeah I agree about the multiple voting thing. Best thing is to keep persisting and keep plugging myself over my webspace. So far it's working quite well in the States, more so than over here which is kinda scary.

Yeah I see your point.

Thanks, I was worried I may offend (I seem to be able to do that easily sometimes...). If you manage to get something away elswhere you might be surprised at how quickly other DJs start picking up on it ;).

Actual requests from people who ARE going to dance to it at a quiet time in the night might not be a bad bet.
