Nice one! Cheers Blink.
Rivetmike
Cheers Blink!
I've seen 'em a few times ... bit bored with 'em now!
I'm far more likely to go and see a band I've never seen before! ... like Chicks on Speed for instance ... they should be good!!

I was thinking more of Sterling Moss with his Decks & FX, a bit of a challenge for you, see how it is done!!

Cos they are lousey, but if you go to the website, and then the record store, and then click on music/cds/whatever, it gives you the chance to buy a ticket, I got an e-flyer for it, but it was a 1meg .bmp, so I deleted, or phone the number I posted, you get Kym's voice-mail, which points you towards the website

Lab 4 are the "hard dance" turned Hard House act aren't they?
They're ok live, but they're a bit generic. And besides they play pretty much every week in the clubs in Brixton etc *yawn*
Blink
19-02-2004, 02:48 PM
That is them, depends what sort of set they play as to how hard, or not, it is, and their latest album is a bit more "housey" than their earlier stuff.

help us create the largest and most colourful photo gallery for an event
that anyone has ever seen!!!! These photos will be used not only on
<http://www.laboratory4.com> www.laboratory4.com - our site totallly
dedicated to this event, and which will be used and reused 4 any future
Laboratory events that may take place, as well as on
<http://www.lab4.com> www.lab4.com , but also our favourites will be
used to contribute towards a LAB4 coffee table book which we are
currently working on to be released mid next year.... All photos will be
credited, so get them into us as soon as you can!!=20
=20
_____ =20
=20
Apart from all of the above - we would just like to say that we are
extremely excited and impatient now 4 the big day to arrive.... If it's
anything like our first Experiment, 2 years ago with our friends from
Frantic, then the vibe will be amazing....=20
=20
Usual events with LAB4 on the line-up always rock anyway - but to have
an event where every single person there, is a mad LAB4 fan who has
come along from as far away as up from the North of England, France,
Spain, Holland, Finland and even from Japan - to lend their support to
the only truly independent force on this scene on a worldwide level, to
make some noise 4 a Live recording CD, to hang out with friends on a
Sunday eating free sweets and puffing oxygen, or simply to see just what
the LAB4 team are capable of when it comes to event organisation - is an
absolute recipe 4 true magic to happen!!!!
=20
We can't wait - it will also be a send off for LAB4 as they jump on a
plane the following day 4 their next Australian and New Zealand tour 4
the month of April - so bring on the vibes so that we can boast to the
whole of Oz about how amazing our hometown London crowd is....
=20
_____ =20
=20
There is a great weekend of line-ups and events this weekend - see
<http://www.lab4.com> www.lab4.com for our recommended party weekend,
which also includes our dear friends at <http://www.antiworld.net>
www.antiworld.net who are doing an amazing event on Saturday 03.04.04 at
Brixton Academy....
=20
_____ =20
=20
Of course, if none of this tickles your fancy then the only other option
would be to wait diligently at home with your eyes on the clock, and
your finger on the mouse.... Because on this GOD GIVEN LAB4 10th
anniversary date of 04.04.04, you can purchase the new Tidy Trax
complication - Tidy 4 - and if you hit the button at PRECICELY 4.44pm -
you can get =A34.00 off the retail price of this CD.... (Now if it was =
us
doing the promotion in keeping with such a meaningful date, we would
have given you =A34.44 off - but that's LAB4 attention to detail 4 you =
:-)
So is this Tidy promotion worth missing the event of the year 4? Well,
possibly.... but if not, then the actual release of this CD is 12th
April, so you can get it then anyway!
=20
_____ =20
=20
This party is LAB4's chance to say thankyou to each and every person who
has been there in any supportive role for LAB4 over the past 10
years.... A chance for us to give something back to each and every one
of you personally, and most importantly to give something back the an
entire scene that many of us as artists and as business people all rely
so heavily upon....
=20
BRING IT ON!!!! And see you there....
=20

Not a Lab4 fan are you???
i saw them for the first time live Sunday, and if they always put the effort in to doing a show like they did Sunday I would not have a probelm paying them cash every time round. They gave 110% and were excellent.
When he was on the drums, i think i saw the CD player strapped to his back.

Honestly, Lab4 arent bad live cuz they get the place jumping and the energy of the crowd going. It's just that on cd they're zzzzzzzzzzzz!
Blink
08-04-2004, 11:03 AM
Lab 4 do always put that much energy into a show, and I watched half of it from the balcony, and if they were miming, they definitely appeared to still be miming in time to the music.
(And yes, stacks of it is sequenced, as it is with the majority of electronic bands, but that is a whole other arguement)
mr_trikkle
13-04-2004, 08:44 PM
i heard of them not really playing live, but then when its like that, who cares
it cant all be ever live, but the drum bit was awesome!!!! :D
