sorry my italian is a bit rusty (never really existed), so i have trouble following the comments on the forum.
also stop faffing about, give us a link where we can listen to a track... limited to 100 copies? why? do you think is wise?
loads of questions but one thing please bear in mind, your enot going to get more liked if youre trying to be too exclusive, to the point where youre excluding the possible buyers.

I agree. 100 is way too short a run.

Haven't read the forum mentioned, but is it an "exclusive", or just a limited first run. You have to balance cost of production with expected sales, and if it is popular, they could just do another run. Far better than being stuck with 50 CDs you can't shift. [Not commenting on the band's talents, just the logistics of funding your own CD]

I see your point, but surely it is better to have something avaliable than have people say to you "do you have something to buy" and having to say no. This is why the vast majority of Industrial debuts are made on CD-R...it's easy to make more up if you need to and they don't cost too much.

I agree, but it depends on how you are doing it. If you are just burning it at home, you can run of copies as and when you are doing it, but if you are doing it professionally, with sleeve printing etc, I am guessing that you could be looking at maybe Å2-Å3 /cd.

Hi...
i would like to excuse me for my english, i hope you will understand...
The Butcher's House Prod. is an italian indipendent record of industrial music.
We release our records in just 100 - 150 copies for a business reason...
It's difficult for an unknown project in the "big industrial scene" to sell 1000 copies at the first release!
We produce ONLY new unknown project... one of our first release was the first record of "Macelleria Mobile Di Mezzanotte", maybe some of you have listen about it.
After our release, MMM recorded a lot of other records on famous labels like Old Europa CafÄ!
So... consider The Butcher's House Prod. as a "talent scout label"!
We don't want to be "elite", we don't care to be a business label... we want only to give a hope to some projects in the italian scene that we consider cool!
You can see also our prices... 10 euro each cd... very very cheap!!!
So... if anyone want to know something more on a specific band that we product, please contact us at info@butchershouse.com or check our web site at www.butchershouse.com
Thanks to you all!
Alex
