Hi there!

There is a small double room for rent where I live.
It is in a quiet ground floor flat of a Victorian semi, half way down a sought after tree-lined Avenue, 2 minutes walk from Surbiton town centre. The room and flat have just been repainted. The room used to contain: a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a bookcase and a chair, but all the furniture has been removed and I guess the landlord will be getting new stuff in unless you have and prefer your own stuff. Share kitchen (own cupboard) and bathroom with 2 others including me: Goth female and 1 bloke ("normal" freak!). The room is at the back and faces the garden. It has TV aerial socket.
Surbiton has most amenities in large quantities: KFC (Kan't Find Chicken), Chinese and Indian take-aways/restaurants - 1 mns walk. Sainsbury's, Superdrugs, Boots, Somerfield's, M&S Foodhall, Waitrose all between 2 and 10mns walk. Loads of pubs all over the place (not all good!). Good charity shops to dig out the odd treasure!
5 mns. walk from the station and 20mns from Waterloo. Surbiton is also serviced by the nightbus. By car, access to the A3 to London is about 10 mns drive away, London is about 20/40 mns drive away (outside rush hours). Also easy access to Kingston, Richmond, New Malden, Guildford.... There is a park with Tennis Courts for hire 2 mns walk from the flat and a huge Cannons Health Club 10 mns walk away, with gym, pool, sauna..... (for those into fitness!). Hampton Court Palace, Bushy Park are 15mns away by bus to immerge yourself in History!
Main requirement/s: Be clean and respect/help keep clean the shared areas.
The Rent is Ł325 per month which includes bills and Council Tax (300 rent & 25 bills.)

I just want to add, not only are small houses fair game. So are weakly glammed houses. Either create a strong character or live with it.
