Jean Louis Costes is a french artist writin, performing and singing a very special kind of music sinc nearly 20 years now ;

Somewhere between industrial music and different kinds of melt, influenced by cold rock, experimental or underground hiphop, he is probably one of the most famous artisto the french "underground" (sic?) around the world (if the biggest part o his creation are in french, he is also writing in german, english and japanese)

He is preparing a new tour around the world, he is now looking for a place to perform in London : I say perform because this is not a smple gig, or a classical concert : he define himself his concert as kind of "opera social porno"...

After this little presentation, i have to give you my opinion ;
The question is not "Do you like what he do?" : its totally crazy, violent, decadent, destructive and destroy, when you look at his performance, you think you are in a kind of deelirium r something like a nightmare... Everybody has to see t one time in his lie, it's a fuckin experience. (nobody pay me to say it ;lol)

if you want more information about him, you can visit his webste :
http://www.costes.org

for exemple of what he did in his last shows :

And to listen some of his songs (exeemple of his art in differents languages)

I was thinking that maybe the Slime could be a good place for his performance n London : i will enjoy to see him in london, and he asked me to ind hm a place to play ;
I don't know if I'm the only person in the slime to know his art...

Bring it on!

I'll never forget his performance @ Hinoeuma/Red Rose Cafe (2 years ago?).
Definitely one of the best concert I've experienced in my life. It opens your eyes :)
Insane, iconoclast, decadent, blasphematory, provocative, cynical, subversive, mystifying, etc..
It's not for everyone's eyes though, I remember a lot of people being in shock and leaving only 5 min after he started hehe.
But the pple who stayed till the end applauded nonstop for a few good minutes.
