Hello fellow slimeloiterings,

i bet this has been talked about before but i raise the subject again:


club gits!

okay we all drink too much, we are all a tad off our heads at the slime but does this justify the way some blokes behave?

dancing up on a stoping rivetgirl while the noise it playing is seriously a bad idea.

i felt really agravated and bothered and while i usually keep to the side as i need a lot of stomping space but this guy was circling me and grinned inanely at me when i looked him into the face.

he did it to other people too and i can only assume that it annoyed them as much as me. so when he did not stop, i had a word with him, which made him run at first but then, some time later, he came back and was angry with me...

now if dancing up on me was a bad idea in the first place, shouting in my face is at least an equally bad idea. thankfully, my ignoring him after that worked but why do people bother to do that?

if i am left to enjoy myself then i actually try to let everyone else have their peace and good time too... is it really that hard?

if anyone wants to talk to me cos they think they need my attention then its a good idea to come up and talk.

so, yes i guess getting a bouncer to see to the situation is one idea, though often that would involve looking for one, then explaining the situation, then finding the stupid git.. if youre unlucky youre losing 30 minutes of precious stomping time and to be perfectly honest, i do not think gits deserve that.

so how do you react when you get bothered? what is the official slimelight policy on it? is it acceptable to hit very annoying pieces of artwork? what should people do in your opinion?

I've been hassled on the dance floor many times, everything from someone physically forcing themselves on me to some idiots screaming in my ear etc etc etc... The only way I've managed to get rid of these people is by completely ignorning them. Unfortunately, as a result, I'm a bit anti-social when I'm there... I'm sure 95% of people at Slime are well behaved but I can't help but to think twice before I approach a stranger or even smile and look at some people. Might sound like I'm overreacting but like Snowwy I just want to dance and enjoy myself when I'm there..

Ugh, this is so far off the map, there be dragons...

The person should have (as a minimum) been turfed out of the club, that is plain WRONG!

As for unwelcome attention at the club, I suppose the bouncer option is the best course, but it's a shame some twats can't just respect the fact that other people want to enjoy themselves too.

depends on your point of view, i think slimelight is as a whole pretty civilised compared to some "normal" places http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons6/71.gif

but you get the odd twat there and very often those are actually dressed up townies if you ask me but if you point out that person to any of us next time, i am sure we will have a word with him ;)

its must be a rule Every time! *esp on goth floor*..... giving people slack for accidently whacking you or such is fair enough especially when it gets cramped......

I had an incident on the dancefloor once where a drunken couple were flailing about knocking into me & everyone else in the vicinity. I just pushed them over into a heap on the floor. Unfortunately, I ended up on top of them. :lol: Anyhow, they got up and left the dancefloor ... mission accomplished! :wink:

Like SP I have only had one incident at Slime on the dancefloor (but being male chances are probably drastically cut down I just stood up to the fella and he soon left it alone (save for some glares).That what happened to SG is not right though and normally one may be inclined to turn a blind eye to that kind of thing but if hes easily identifiable perhaps he should be reported as it could be a precursor to something worse?

no originally i thought i bring them, but most likely not bother as it was going to be very busy and i need space to stickle, otherwise i do the cyber thing and you know how that is totally not my style.

but i forgot them anyway, so i thought that i could not play with them at all

When I was dancing around with my girlfriend at Slimes some few months ago there was some sweaty, repulsive, sleazy guy around us and at one point, managing to do it without me seeing by concealing himself out of my view, he tried unravelling her corset. To say I was pissed off was an understatement and annoyed me more that he managed, to an extent, and I didn't even catch him doing it. Wasn't til me and Luci went to the bar she told me and I saw how far he got. I felt really bad because I didn't catch him and do something about it. I may not look much harm to anyone and I'm not the confrontational sort but that was out of order and I would not have hesitated in defending her.

I would have been liable to have given said individual a number of views as to what I thought of him. Then again I am at times intolerant of people who dont seem to have much integrity.

Was I being judgemental? I was arguing AGAINST generalisations such as bad spelling meaning you must be stupid, or posting far-out stuff meaning you are probably unattractive. Making those assumptions would be judgemental....and who'd make assumptions like that? ;)
