From what I remember, the price is the same as last year (for members anyway)
It is pretty much the same as any other club on NYE, over-crowded, over-priced and normally a bit of a let down, but then that is my opinion on most clubs on NYE.
TBH, I didn't notice much difference, other than crowds (don't even think about using the cloak room) to any other night

hmm, it doesnt really sound like its worth it to me... over twice the price and probably twice the crowds arent all that appealing. did anybody go last year? no special events or anything? hmm... :?
p.s, initial post was made by me, i just didnt realise i wasnt logged in.

It still sounds like a good way to spend the new year to me though.

A bit like any other Slimelight really just busier with more popular songs. The price hike is par for the course with NYE tho' but compared to other nights out (in London) it still works out a lot cheaper.

Very true...some clubs wouldn't bat an eyelid at charging you Å40 to get in. Å15 is quite reasonable for an alnight club on NYE.

For a NYE evening its pretty cheap, as stated. most places dont mind chargeing Å50 and up.
drinks are still cheap, the cloakroom is insane but its normally a pretty good night, especially if you staying late and let the place clear out a bit.

I have been to every New Years Eve at Slimelight since 1987 except The Millenium night as that was waaay too much money.
I think the price is still very good, the reason for the hike in price is probably because they have to pay security and staff more to work on new years eve (quite right too).
Usually packed, good fun, and new years eve snogs :)
Hopefullly there wont be a repeat of last years cloakroom fiasco.
Mac/Detty: Lets have 4 floors open this year instead of hiring the ground floor to another promoter?

didn't they have an extra floor open last year? unfortunately i over did it (it was new year after all) and have quite hazy memory. as is already said 10 quid is hardly expensive, esp' ecially in london, 5 quid normal price is very good value. Had to queue a bit for the cloakroom but it wasn't that bad. Mind you it was 2am ish when we arrived, as usual, and we stayed to the end aswell so no hastle with cloakroom then either.

Agree, just the same as a 3 floor night, nothing different at all.
The year before last, the old *upstairs* goth floor was open .... so it was *slightly* different!

Å10 sounds like a bit of a bargain for a New Year's Eve club night to me, especially as it includes the usual Å5 entry for Slime on the Saturday too. Don't forget that most people want at least double pay for working that night! I meant to buy my ticket at the weekend, and forgot....d'oh!
