What's the best gig you EVER went to, and why?

For sheer exuberance and showmanship; Ministry's gig at the Academy in '91.
For surprise value; White Stripes of a few years ago, purely by dint of exceeding expectations from a band of just two people.
oh...and any NMA gig, ever.

Ozzy with Fear Factory in support in 1995 I think. Although I was blown away the first time I saw Queen Adreena in 1999 too. I was dead impressed the first time I saw Rammstein, and Green Day when they burned their stage.

Please, please be joking, for your own sake

Nice one

Hmmm, I've seen some really good gigs but it's hard to pick out a favourite. I went to see The Pixies a few times at small venues when they were fairly new, and those gigs were great. And I really enjoyed seeing The Cult too. And most other bands I've seen LOL I guess I'm easily pleased - I just enjoy live music so much, that picking out one is impossible...

Saw the cult at the brixton academy in 87 & was mighty impressed & then sorely disappointed seeing them a few years later with Ian Asstbury fully off his face on smack.

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing New model army in 1989 at CBGB's a tiny little club in NYC, had to stand on stage coz there was so little room.

Soundgarden (90) , the Cramps (85), Ramones(85), Violent Femmes (back in 83 at the Lyceum, I was saverely underaged & dolled up by my big sister), Hawkwind, Hawkwind & Hawk -wi-nd.

The absolute bestest ever had to be Nirvana on the night Teen Spirit hit #1. That was outstanding. The icing on the cake was meeting them after managing to score some tickets to the after party. They ended up at some night cheeseburger was putting on in Oxford St.

Best gig lately - the wiggles.

Fleetwood Mac at earls court last year.

Simply because they put on an amazing live show, the likes of which ive never seen before ever. They are truely amazing entertainers, and most of you will probably disagree because its not really the genre of music that you guys listen to but mneh :p i dont care
