As far as I know Francesca doesn't visit this site, but I'll pass on your compliments to her as I know she'll appreciate them :)

I think she'll be at Slime next on the 29th for the Xotox gig btw.

Is she likely to post her setlists somewhere as I want to know what she played? What sites does she go on?

YES YES YES I WANT MORE NOISE!!!!!

Did anyone here go to the Hinoeuma 1st October (with Slogun, Grunt etc)?? Couldn't go but heard it was brilliant! Also heard that not many people turned up... which is a shame and might explain why there are not more noisegigs in London???

xx

I didn't go but wanted to and yes I heard how good it was and how few people there were there.I take the blame fully for lack of noise gigs in London ;).Seriously tho' I think it's more to do with the lack of promoters likely to put anything on outside Slime.

Flag are hardly likely to start booking bands like the above (altho' pleased to see that he's booked Noisex for BC) so that just leaves infrequent Hineouma shows apart from what Slime give us.

ah well it was Maschinenfest weekend and we were 4 slimelight/noize loving evil rivets alone, off to that garmany, so couldnt go to that.

on a 3 floor special day, i think harsh EBM and noize would go together better than synthpop and noize

... and to do with the fact that most noise bands are better danced to on a dance-floor that's being DJed to IMHO. Eye-candy is needed if you gig this stuff, otherwise it usually gets a bit tedious. I mean who wants to watch a bloke twiddle knobs?! (except Snowwy of course! lol)

knob-twiddling can be watchable, it all depends on how it's done! I actually think noisebands are usually more watchable than many straight industrial/electro acts... Among the things that keep me entertained when watching noisebands have been: masks and uniforms (love em!), weird and wonderful back projection (ahem..), blokes on chairs making creaking noises, throwing of bodily fluids, fights and abuse between band members, old man attacking a Whitney Houston record with a vengence... and more! So it doesn't have to be boring at all!

And why can't we have more of it...especially old men attacking Whitney Houston records.

There was some weird stuff at Machinenfest. Monokrom all dressed as giant white rabbits (complete with satin carrot) and destroyed a giant white screen during their set. Larvae had a most entertaining movie/slid show during his set...lightsabres, Godzilla, Kill Bill, the works!

Back in the day I remember seeing a band called GGFH live who had some truly disturbing videos being played during their set.Hardened guys who had previously been kicking the shit out of all and sundry were literally fainting at the sights on show.

Was great fun :)

I'm told there are still some squat clubs around London putting on 'extreme' noise bands and people like Costes... have yet to found one though. Everything got sort of sanitised a few years ago didn't it?!

Apparently if you believe everything you hear there is a pretty burgeoning scene for this kinda thing but I for have yet to have met anyone who seems to either know or wants anyone else to :(

Global Genocide Forget Heaven! hehe.

I would've loved to have seen GGFH! Their music's all very dark and ominous (although sometimes this means it's a tad silly ;)) but I've heard about the live gigs; the band members dressed in bloodied bandages, the oh so twisted visuals...ah, it sounded great :)

Here's something for you: http://www.ggfh.com ;)

Mike, if you remind me I'll copy you that GGFH compilation I made. There's some top tracks on there.

My work allocation is the same as everyone else everyday, I just do loads early in the morning to get my work allocation to a level where I can take it really easy during the day.
