Got to see this yesterday and it was more than what i expected , it was actually a very cool movie, except for one death scene which was exceptionally funny and spoiled it a little bit, it is definitely worth watching.
For the guys and some girls, Kate Beckinsale in PVC is just absolutely gorgeous.

Underworld...saw it on Sat night (twas actually the reason I couldn't make it to Slime, ho hum). Tis a good film, as Skylizard said, much better than i was expecting.
A good concept handled in a very cool manner with some top visuals. I'm glad they didn't fuck it up.

Oh, and Pirates of the Caribbean...another excellent film. Was well impressed with this. Depp is indeed the man :)

I too found it to be better than i expected. The imagery was fab and the plot pretty good too, although i think it would have been much better had they shown us in greater detail what had happened in the begining as to how the Vampires and the Lycans came to be... there's a whole story right there that was only just touched upon in the film.
Other than that, i really enjoyed it :D

They have left it so open for a sequel, that you may just get your wish.

Why wasn't there any female werewolf in that movie? :?

That's a very good question!
Perhaps their CG stations couldn't render "six teets" per female werewolf?! ;)

though it had some nice images in it ( Kate in a PVC was one of them ) the vampires powers seemed to change from scene to scene leaving me feeling that it probally wasnt worth being a vampire as your so wimpy.
But then again im more into vampire films eg Interview with a vampire where they are super powerful

I personally liked the way werewolves were potrayed. It was refreshing to see them as intelligent beings, rather than killing machines.

personally, i thought that it could have been a lot better, it was a good concept, but i thought it fell a bit short of being a great movie, and they ending irritated me SO much. I know they left it open for a sequel, but that doesn't mean they couldn't conclude the storyline they used in that film...

Example: Blade. Blade is a trilogy (or at least will be come august), but Blade, despite being a continuous story, concludes each individual story nicely, and i like that, because it means that each film can stand alone with its own storyline. underworld doesn't do that, and i don't think films should be made in the way that ur only satisfied with the ending once uv seen the second, the film should be made to be one good film, and not depend on the sequel.

theres prbly a shorter way of saying all this.... but.. hmm.

one part that especially made me cringe was the way they incorporated the soundtrack, they flicked on the radio to play some loud pumping nu-metal just in time for his transformation in the back of the police car. it seemed very contrived.

however, to contradict everything i just said, the soundtrack is resevoir dogs is incorporated that way and it comes together beautifully, and kill bill isn't a stand alone movie it depends on the sequel. but thats because its a long bloody story, whereas... i dont know.

underworld should have had a more solid ending, i found it an anticlimax.

hmm. but ur enthusiasm for it is tempting me to rewatch it, i saw it twice at the cinema (no i dont know why as i didnt lke it much the first time, im just a victim to anything vampiric!), so maybe il go watch it and appreciate ur comments? yes, i think i will.... *trundles off to the video shop*

Clothes--great. KB--sighably sexy. Potential--excellent. Delivery--oh well...

If "Underworld" had gotten a school report it would've said--"Could've done better"
