Although I might look like a scary little goth...my music taste has always leaned towards the oldskool metal, black metal and death metal. The more I go to Slimes the more my stubborness towards ebm shy's away. I need someone out there to tell me exactly what bands I should b looking out for...! I know the songs..but I have no idea who sings them and what the top ebm bands out there are....Hope someone will give me some advice

Tell us which songs you mean and I'm sure you'll get help! I take it that when you say EBM, you mean bottom/middle floor.

Enchantress: as Guy says do you know any of what you already like? If so then we can point you in the way of similar bands/labels etc.

As far as EBM goes they (IMHO) are one of the best but you rarely hear any of it at Slime.

And it's a shame that they don't get played. It's very danceable stuff for the most part.
I played at Cabaret Macabre not long ago and opened my set with Plasticity! Had to be done. :wink:
Anyone know where the samples in that track (at beginning) come from? :roll:

I can't really add much to what the others have suggested - I don't know enough about it myself - but I sincerely applaud your open-minded attitude to looking for new stuff outside your 'usual' areas - too many people stick to just one thing, with something almost like religious bigotry/zeal, and probably miss out on a lot of stuff they's like if they only gave it a chance.

True EBM is a fading fast genere, very few bands today can be classed as EBM, and therefore have to keep the old alive to appreciate it's true seductive power.
