Interpol, 13th Sept ICA

Saw them at the ICA on Monday, what a show! The new material is amazing, may even be better than the debut, Turn on the Bright Lights.
I was lucky enough to have heard the new album, Antics before seeing them.

They've always been compared to Joy Division, and it is a fair comparison, but on the strength of the new album, they have surpassed being just a Joy Division clone of a band.

What the next album will bring, who knows,,,,,,,,,but I can hardly wait!

I have to concur... they're probably my favourite band of the passed 5 years or so. I was absolutely gobsmacked the first time I heard TOTBL and pretty much made everyone I know listen to it. They did sound a bit like a carry on of Joy division when they first started, but seem to have found their own identity now.
