MORE Russians are coming..(as if you really need any more...ahem).
Adventurous married goth/industrial/fetish couple from Moscow visiting London this weekend and looking for some local company for the weekend (September 11th and 12th). We are both 29 years old and moderately "romantigoths", I guess. We have been to London before.
We are currently planning to go to the Devonshire and then the Slimelight on Saturday and hit Camden Markets on Sunday but are open to good ideas. Particularly we are looking for something to do on Sunday night - any private parties etc...?
Anyone interested in playing "welcome committee" for a couple of Russians please email me at camaeljax@yahoo.com. We would be glad to have someone to meet and talk to at the clubs/over dinner.drinks.shopping, private parties etc.... etc....
Will be glad to send more info, pictures etc. if you need them...but ASAP please we are leaving early Sat morning our time.

london has got a lot to offer though in terms of clubbing and there is, as it happens some trad goth stuff (Romantigoth) on sunday .. IIRC in High Holborn and a bar - and iuts for free.

somebody announced it on this website, so maybe they come forward again or you find it yourself

and sorry - didn't mean to be pushy about the private parties thing - gothic hospitality traditions just appear to be different in London from say Boston or Moscow......and you must come to Moscow! so we can show you our hospitality, there is not a more naturally goth/industrial city or people on the planet!

About the bread and salt - I knew we (okay traitorous Russian oligarchs, but what the hay) were buying up everything in London - but didn't realize you guys were having shortages of essentials as a result. We will bring our own and will be glad to share with our less fortunate kindred. (LOL)

Oh and loved the banner (although the Smersh is a little strange and some Russians - not us in the slightest, but some - are a tad touchy about being pigeonholed as Soviets). Yes, that was us - and I thought the red dress was really quite fetching....
Slime was awful - they dare to still bill it as a "goth" club!
3rd time I have been there - and everytime I have wondered how I wandered into a "cyberdog" den by mistake - last time -
Next time we will just go to Boston, NYC, California, or Germany...
(Or just stay here in Moscow)
Seriously - talking to you was the highlight of our evening. We at least know there is still one real goth left in London (but it seems like no others)
Obviously it is no longer a hospitable environment for our endangered species....quick fly as fast as your goffybird wings will carry you here to Moscow where you will be safer. (You will always be welcome with us)
