No, these were normal glowsticks. Snowwy uses a high degree of feriousity when dancing...it is wise not to get too close or you'll get belted one!

I don't think Snowwy would ever attempt to use them, and I fully encourage her not to. You know my views on those fucking nuisances, ban them all and the people who use them.
It's an Alternative club not a fucking Rave.

I feel a statement in my defence coming on...
here goes:
the thing i did with the glowsticks is not the usual clubbing glowsticks thing everyone else does. i named it
industrial light stick art.
in order to do so, i fixed the sticks into the inside of my hands, lenghtwise in order to create an on - off effect and instead of just simply making random patterns, i create effects that interprets the music (preferable noise or very heavy drum and bass or psy trance)
its a form of dance, the glowsticks create the visual aid in order to show what i am expressing with my dance.
i think i have created a new artform nobody has so far been doing and i shall be more than happy to put a performance together if anyone ever wishes to see it, there is more to explose than just glowsticks....
i have been tempted to bring some glowsticks to machinenfest and if the time and the place is right, i shall give a sample of it... though i might choose not to if i offend (though that doesnt usually stop me :P )
slimelight is too small for that sort of thing, i could only ever show a cut down and less interesting type of glowdance and it would drift into banality,w hcih i try to avoid... i cannot see how glowsticks could be more offensive than a fire show.
hope this explains why i say that i took glowstick dancing to a new level.
cuts and bruises, i got one cut as i had to suddenly stop because somebody shose to walk into the path of my frantic glowstickling and while i do not mind being a bit of a tit in terms of space consuming, i do not intent to injure anybody.. which would happen as my dancing is at high speed, with lots of arm movement and lots of velocity... beware of my hands but you should see them... they glow in the dark :P

But it is still a glowstick isn't it.?????? You aren't adding to it , taking some of it away or changing it in anyway. It still stays the same glow stick as when you pulled it out the packet!!!!!

no i modify it as in, i put it into my hand on the inside parallel to my hand and fix it there to create on - off effects and playing with different light colours...
there are a couple of modifications in the pipeline which i havent mentioned yet.
i might bring them along to machinenfest :P
what i also modify is the way its danced, the lights do not just go backwards and forwards or wriggle a little bit, they create shapes and movements which interpret the music as a whole and not only a part of the stomping rythm.
watch, then judge...
as i said before its more industrial than a fire show and more versatile too...

as i said if it feels the right thing to do....
and its not a rave type of thing, in fact there is many more glowstick swinging people at goth clubs these days than at the raves that i have been to.. though i gues si only seem to go to the harder raves as the others stuff infuriates me after a few minutes
again, its not liek the normal glowstick accessory that you are used to... i come to think it was a bad idea to even attempt to show that it can be done

Seriously, Snowwy, if you enjoy it enough, then stuff what others say and do it. What the world needs is innovation and if you're brave enough to use "aggressive glowsticking" then go for it...

I usually hate glowsticks as well, but I have to say that Snowwy was using them in a really interesting way. Most glowstickers just wave them back and forth and bounce up and down, performing the same moves over and over. Snowwy was actually moving to the music, changing with it, going with the layers. No practicing in front of a mirror either.

i for one can become quite vicious when being bothered too much...
that is why i withdraw with my dancing and withdrew with the glowsticks into a corner where it wouldnt bother everyone...
nothing worse than having people trying to walk straight through you.. (a slimelihgt speciality btw) other than that you might find that there is plenty of glowstick people around at slimelight .. so who needs snowwy anyway

the only time i got close to people was when they chose to walk rigth into the path of glowdoom...
i have my cuts from having to suddenly stop in order not to hit them accidentally.
hence me not glowsticking at slimelight, its too small, people are not really aware (SOBER) enough to avoid it and while i think its fun to create new things out of old things, i wouldnt liek to think that i spoilt other people's enjoyment by being a greedy and selfish prat 8O
