I have a friend coming in from Finland and she has heard much of Slimelight and I wonder if there will be anything to tempt her with this Saturday.

Missed it. Got rather tipsy and stayed out late on Friday - then had a session on Saturday afternoon after which I was useless for anything...

Will try again this coming weekend

The cake and pool room was fantastic. The concept seemed strange, especially for a club like Slime, and on entering quite surreal at first, but it grows on you. A fantastic addition to London's most unusual club!! :D

Cakes! I think I might be able to get my girly to go now :)

If I can find out the calories in an average cake, then how many calories are burned up dancing, I'll be able to say "You can have X cakes but we will then have to stay 'till Y o'clock" ;)

Come to Slimelight, where you can eat cakes without putting on weight

Or there's the financial incentive :)

"If we stay 'till the end, we can take the tube home, so we can spend the money we save on the cab, on cakes"

Last night cakes were £1.50. The roasted vegetable baguette was £2.50. Both were very good! Two friends had hot dogs (£2.70) and said the sausage wasn't very good, but it looked like a generous portion.

I have to rather emabarrassingly confess that it was actually me who said the cakes were free, but this was down purely to a rather drunken misunderstanding....

I went to Slimelight a couple of weeks ago after drinking a rather hideous amount of alcohol (I drank a bottle of vodka before leaving gf's flat and then hit the sambuka - very messy!), walked in without paying because I was too pissed to remember (I did pay though after being reminded by said gf) and then went to the cake room, picked up a slice of cake and ate it! Stuffed the whole bloody thing in my gob and wandered off thinking it was free....

I don't think anybody said anything because I was apparently quite drunk, but of course I didn't think so at the time!

So to cut a long story short I thought the Cake was free, but it appears only if you're too pissed to pay for it!! :)

And whilst we're on the subject of food, I had the olives and bread a couple of weeks ago (gf is vegan so that's pretty much all she can have) and it was not only very nice, but a bloody bargain at £1.25!

I am sure everyone likes a generous portion of sausage.
