Yes, I believe that is possible- My girlfriend doesnt wear contacts, but the natural tint of her eyes is reactive to the UV light, which looks quite freaky at times!

well...ehem...yeah ;) i like them. it's a little embaressing (hey! i hit the topic! ) but i have to admit... i'm some kinda fan...

there was and still is a very big hype about them here in germany(since last summer)... with all the negative stuff like screaming little teenage-girls, wanna-be-groupies... that makes it hard to me as a 22 years old woman to be a fan...

and they aren't very... dark... *lol* not really... ;)

I think it was just a load of skater kids that didnt like them. shame.

 grrrrrr..... if i don't like a band on stage i'm quiet and wait for better stuff.... damn shame that some people always have to do trouble like this.... that makes me mad! in germany there was some kinda festival with a lot of punks... i love punks, have a lot of punk-friends but it's not ok to throw bottles(!) of beer...*hmpf* ok, it wasn't the right location for the rasmus...

Im listning to dead letters.

oh yeah... love it! cool album, i sometimes have to cry when i'm listen to it... some songs remember me of sad things... :(
hey! maybe i get the chance to meet the guys  i'll call their label and ask... well actually only because of a concert in sept. (guestlist if possible) but who knows ? ;)

but the other stuff is...different...

lemontwist
30-08-2004, 12:58 PM
Yeah the other stuff is heavier, i found that when we went to see them live that we loved all their old stuff as much as the new!

BondageVampire
30-08-2004, 01:06 PM
heavier? that's the first time i hear something like that... 8O

well ok... what they play life is heavier... "ice" f.e. one of my faves...
but the rest is sometimes... very different ;)

when i first heard the older albums like "peep" or "playboys" i was very irritated...

lemontwist
30-08-2004, 01:08 PM
so what do you mean by different then?

sekrets
30-08-2004, 01:12 PM
Yeah the other stuff is heavier, i found that when we went to see them live that we loved all their old stuff as much as the new!

Aparently they have some ska influences as well? Is this true?
could be interesting.

We saw them live supported by The Boxer Rebellion (who are now one of our favorite bands- check them out :D http://www.theboxerrebellion.com )

lemontwist
30-08-2004, 01:14 PM
Judging by the covers on the albums - it does seem more that way inclined, rather then metal

BondageVampire
30-08-2004, 01:31 PM
ska? metal? 8O erm...

ok, band history ;) they began to play in school and released their first album when they where 16 i think. not very...deep. to quote one song
Go! Why you watch me? Am I ugly? Am I slimy?

´n´ when you touch me is there something pissing? Am I slimy?

´n´ one day princess will kiss me. ´n´ one day I will be a man.
´n´ one day princess will kiss me. ´n´ one day I won´t be frog anymore. that was the whole text ;) of "frog"

the sound was more... playful, colorful and a little childish ;) a fun-album. but two really good and deep songs "myself" and "life 705"
with "playboys" the next album it was similar but the lyrics began to be more grown up... "blue" and "ice" f.e. but they still had a lot of nonsens in it  and the sound still was, besides "blue" and "ice" not very..hard ;)
"hell of a tester". not really wanted (label order) but cool songs...
the next thing was "hell of a collection" some kinda best-of.... and then "into". the first real album as adults... in my opinion. the lyrics and the music.

ok...let's say: if you like "dead letters" you will like "into" as well. "hell of a..", too. but when it comes to the older stuff... it will be an experiment!

lemontwist
30-08-2004, 01:36 PM
Yay, hehe yeah i'm inteested in hearing it :) but you cant blame a young band 4 being immature to start off with![/b]

BondageVampire
30-08-2004, 01:42 PM
*lol* i like the old stuff... the silly stuff, too  so... ;) but i'm not sure if other people will like it....

lemontwist
30-08-2004, 01:50 PM

Magif

I know what you mean when you say silly music. I love Voltaire. But most people i know cant stand his stuff. His stuff is comical and i love "When your evil" and "vampire club".

Once again listen to it for a laugh and for the fun of it.

sekrets
30-08-2004, 07:30 PM
yeah i think some people take music too seriously and are over-critical. For instance, you get some people that might not like a band or a song, but they just wont have it that someone else likes it.

My brother is a good example!

Personally I'm open to any kind of music, weather its serious or not. If theres a piece of music that I do not like, I would not discredit it... Unless of course it was by The Darkness (hehe just kidding)

**I dont like the darkness personally, but they are good musicians. Just not my cup of tea.

I meant simply that they know how to play their instruments.
