no. wouldn't mind going to bratislava though, but thats way more unlikely because it's in another country, and that's just scary. I really must try these low cost flight people, i'm still stuck with the idea that travelling abroad is something you do once a year for a week if you are lucky.

So was I until a couple of years ago,but this year I have been for weekends away in Prague and Leipzig with Berlin to come and not spent too much more per weekend than I did the weekend of Fiendflug/TMO

Yes indeed.I would have thoroughly recommended Prague especially for those wanted to travel on a budget if it were not becoming part of the EU (which of course means prices will go up overnight).A three course meal for four people in Prague at one one of the most expensive restaurants (I'm not always this extravagant but wanted to thank my parents for a lovely holiday ;)) cost Ł50 with drinks all evening.

Erm, read the topic? (j/k)

I'd say the best bands were Suicide Commando and A23. I'd say this coz they both played when I was the most drunk. So my opinion could be highly flawed, but I do not care.

Silence is Sexy were a nice surprise, and Mono No Aware broke my ears.

Just moved to a new place and it's taken them ages to sort it out, but my new 2mb line should be up and running today.
I don't blame you Flux for not wanting it especially if you use it all day, but i do enjoy having it at home especially whenthe new Counter Strike gets released, hours and hours of online fun to be had.

Awww, see now that's the kinda talk that makes me wanna get online. The original CounterStrike has been the only game that's tempted me...we used to play it over the LAN here at work all the time (after hours OBVIOUSLY!) and it's great fun.

ah well, it was alright :)

Best band for me were Silence is Sexy, the only band with a bit of a show; worst were all those Industrial Noise 'bands'. Some of them just sounded like flushing a loo. hm.

But I have to say, the organisation was really good - well, apart from the fire alarms, but shit happens ;)

oh, and I founded the 'Say NO to GLOWSTICKS' club. Hell, don't people realise that those sticks actually blind other people? it's plainly irritating when you want to dance and someone is waving around like mad with one or more glowsticks lol

It's ok at the slimelight, there you can always turn in the other direction, but at the Infest you were surrounded by them....
my suggestion for the next infest: make an own room with a lot of UV lights, so everybody who want to show off their UV clothing and wants to wave around with glowsticks can do so in peace, and the rest of us who just want to dance can do so as well :)

oh, don't get me wrong, I mostly liked it there ;)

it was just a bit too much industrial, and it's an electronic music festival, so a bit less of Noise/Industrial would have been nice (not only bands, DJ's as well)

If there is more diversity of music next year I might go again.

Did anyone see any of those Jaegermeister freebies that were supposed to be happening? ...
..Or was it because I was drinking too much Jaegermeister that I didn;t spot them?
:D

berzerkangel - there were definitely Jaegermeister freebies around, they were given out in the prizedraw on Sunday. A few were also up for grabs to anyone that asked, but they ran out early on in the weekend. There were bandenas and vests, as far as I know. And a REAL bottle of Jaegermeister for the prizedraw - surprisingly that wasn't even first price!

Bit of a late response to Infest, I know, but i've only just recovered from it!

Weren't those fire alarms fun? I sort of enjoyed those. Shame they won't be having them next year :(

There were tons of good bands this year I thought, much better than last year. And I even managed to see some of them, which was even better! Having said that, it's always great, even if you don't get to see any bands. It's just the best atmosphere & friendliest peeps out of all the festivals I've been to.
