Anyone played DooM 3?

I heard that its supposed to have a soundtrack by Trent Reznor, but then found out that it wasnt by him. Anyone know who eventually did the soundtrack?

Yus, I've got it...haven't played much of it yet tho. The little I've seen is reeeeally quite impressive. My graphics card runs it ok, not great mind, but enough for me to enjoy it (or at least at the mo!)

Tell you something, it's like nothing you've seen before! :)

My current card should handle it as well, but will wait for my new one and then run it at it's highest, can't wait, hopefully next week.

There isn't a soundtrack, as such. It's mostly just ambient radio noise and static and general creepiness.

There is a thumping tune at the title screen, which sounds like it might well be reznor, but i haven't checked.

As for the music, Trent was originally supposed to be doing it, even more so than on Quake II, but it never quite happened, so he did just do the main "Theme Tune" for it.

www.nin.com has an "access" section which has stopped being the chat rooms, and become a place where "Trent" replies to questions.

Trent didn't do any music for D3, none what so ever. All done to Chris vrenna....

Sorry, my bad, I was just skimming the thing.

Interestingly, at the end, it says "I guess Tool did the music"!!

And Sekrets, NIN.com is updated "regularly" now IE about once/twice a month.

No worries Blinky my man, Trent called it of about 6months back, pity as he has dne some good stuff in the past, but not to take anything away from Chris he has done an awesome job this time round.

I can imagine Vrenna's stuff is pretty good, heard a few bits and pieces of his and I keep meaning to get around to getting his Tweaker album.

(And he did the music for Alice, didn't he?)
