Got my WGT tickets ordered and paid,
got my plane tickets booked,
got my train tickets (from Berlin to Leipzig and back) booked,
got my camping gear sorted,
I'm ready to go.

WGT should be *awesome* this year. So good many bands already confirmed, and some really good bands in the rumour mill. :)

Just bought our tickets, thanks for letting me know they are on sale - the exchange rate is a killer though!
We booked our plane tickets with Air Berlin ages ago and then they decided not to go to Leipzig :(
We are going with Ryan Air now

Hotel was booked ages ago, we are going a few days early to have a bit of time to relax too.
See you all there

I was in wgt for the first time last year, and it was amazing! Wonderful spot, wonderful people and wonderful bands. This year, the lineup is looking a bit weak for me, and i´m going to drop dead festival in lisbon instead :D

Really looking forward to the adventure, there aren't any bands I'm specifically excited about seeing, but hanging out with Inertia for a few days should be a giggle, can't wait!

83 bands listed already and none you're keen on seeing?

Does have to be said the only band so far I will make an effort to see is Neuroticfish, and that could change depending if anything better comes along. Oh, and Sigue Sigue Sputnik, just to see how they fill a set with "Love Missile" or whatever it was called ;)

A few bands I wouldn't mind catching if they are on at the same venue as another band I want to see - that was how it worked last year, you figured out which bands you "had" to see and then if there were other bands on at the same venue you wanted to see, or if you had time to get to another venue to catch another band - We queued for an hour to get in for Seabound, queued for ages in the rain to be at the back for Soman.

Sometimes it is easier to pick one venue for the day as opposed to trying to hack around all over the place.

BTW _ Covenant's myspace says they are playing (10 May, I think)

I think you shouldn't only turn up at the venue just before the band you want to see is playing. For example, last year I struggled through Warren Suicide just to get a spot on the front for Soman. ;)

Exactly - Was that the same night as Psychobitch? Won't go for them again.

Was it Seabound, Pride and Fall, someone else and then Fixmer/McCarthy? That was good.

Oddly enought I bumped into DJ Steve and Skylizard(if anyone remembers him) at Soman and think I bumped into Uwe (DJ Gassman) there as well - it was a packed venue

Nah, Pzychobitch was on Friday, with In Strict Confidence, and some utter rubbish ones (I think Kosmic Horror and Fetish:Mensch).

Fixmer/McCarthy was on Monday I think, after Dismantled, during which I left the venue, since Dismantled was so awful. :D Pride and Fall was on the same day as Soman, so you had to travel from the Kohlrabi to the Werk if you wanted see them both. Maybe Seabound was right after Pride and Fall, which would make sense how you'd get to Soman so late, but I didn't stay for Seabound, so I got to Werk in good time.

God, I can't remember it now. I think you are right.

Dismantled were poor, Fixmer/McCarthy were good at first but got boring. Seabound were one of the highlights for me, better than I thought they would be.

I hope so more good names are announced for this year, am a bit disappointed with the listing so far

Nah, I meant "specifically"... of course there's Greyhound, Portion Control, PsychicTV (OK, I'm curious) and of course, Xotox. And of course Inertia and Knifeladder!!! (though I'll be working then..)

If you make fun of the goffs in English, they probably won't understand you anyway. :D

I should be going to WGT, no deffo plans yet only provisional ones. If I get my holiday approved from work then I am deffo going - my main reason is, of course, Tactical Sekt (yes I know it's not on the "official" list of confirmed bands but it's on their homepage and their myspace, plus Marco told me himself they were playing, so they are) - there are a whole slew of other bands I want to see as well but cannot plan it until I know more about who is playing at what venue and at what time.
