Go to anchorbay.co.uk, download the trailer, this film looks promising, it's directed by Sam Rami of evil dead fame and yes you guess it stars the horror legend bruce campbell as.......Elvis?. The story goes that Elvis wanted to get away from the spotlight so he trades places with an elvis inpersonator, unfortunatley the inpersonator dies before he can switch back. A few years later he's in a retirement home and oviously no one believes he's the real deal but he makes friends with a guy who thinks he's former president Kennedy (despite the fact he's black!). They find that an evil force has started to take over the retirement home and it's up to them to stop it. This film has the most ingenious script I've heard, it's out October time, it's gonna be good. :D

I've had the US DVD for some time now, it's really quite good :)

I've posted stuff about it somewhere on this forum, but I've had a quick look and can't find where, sorry :(

Have a flick thru if you can be arsed. It's definately worth checking out tho...especially as it has the King playing the King ;)

Campbell RAWKS!

Bruce Campbells the man, and with his 2 cameo appearences in spiderman, made Spiderman worth while.

Cool :D , he does indeed!

Spiderman: As a wrestling announcer
Spiderman 2: As a doorman

am I right?

Did you know that Sam Rami's car was uncle Ben's in Spiderman?, I can't remeber what it's called though, it's quite an old one

If you watch the directors commentary on the Evil Dead you find out that the car they used then was also Rami's, and the cast hadn't acted before either!
They were on such a low budget too...you find out that certain scenes were filmed quite some time later, in another part of the USA!

I have the "Book of the Dead" edition of the DVD. I nearly wet myself laughing at Bruce Campbells commentary.

I have too many copies of the Evil Dead;

VHS:
Evil Dead (uk)
Evil Dead 2 (uk)
Army Of Darkness (uk)

DVD:
Evil Dead (US)
Evil Dead *Book Of The Dead Edition* (US)
Evil Dead 2 (US)
Army Of Darkness (US)

And I've just seen the Army Of Darkness *Boomstick Edition* (Original Version + Directors Cut etc) so may have to get that too...grrr.

Btw, the US & the UK versions of Army Of Darkness are slightly different...different scenes and different script in places...weird!
