Hiya
I'm coming to Slimlight this weekend and wondered will I be able to get away with wearing a white pvc nurses outfit??
I know I'll stand out a bit but will I be able to get in?

Hi- to the lad that came and spoke to me, sorry can't remember your name!! I wish we could've all come with you to the coffee shop afterwards but me and my mates ended up leaving at 4ish :( Perhaps next time???

i know im probably being a complete girl (good job really!) but what is the big fetish deal with nurses? im not criticising, im just curious as to where the fantasy stems from?
...I suppose being female im lucky, as every year or so i get a legal appointmant with a nurse and a large metal clamp... oooer! 8O bet you guys are jealous eh?!

I think it mainly comes from the feeling of vulnerability that patients have coupled with the fact that one would think that nurses are virtually unshockable ;).

I did a Google search for "sexy nurse" to try & illustrate the point...here were the best three it came up with.
I'll leave you to decide!
1. This one was called "ultra sexy ashly" hmm... (http://www.hamfisted.net/pictures/2002/halloween/images/58_ultra_sexy_ashly.jpg)
2. A pic from "natasha's attic" uh huh (?) (http://www.natashasattic.com/tabbys/7503.jpg)
3. Not a very conventional nurses outfit this, but fun all the same ;) (http://www.zednet.co.uk/gbmc/listings/35.jpg)

i do love pvc, but wearing it out is a bugger cos when it's hot its unbearable and when its cold, you freese your ass off! Plus, its sooo expensive unless you know where to look!
....i get round this by making my own pvc stuff, tricky but worth it; pvc hotpants for a fiver's worth of materials! mmm.......

You also have to be either stick thin or muscley to wear latex if you're male. I am "podgy" so I can't wear it without being an afront to good taste.

Oh, they're both shiny, so both good. There are things I love about latex, and things I love about PVC. I have some PVC (which I don't think is horrible :-p) , but am a bit lacking in the latex department....something I must/will remedy at some point. In fact, a friend was telling me he makes his own stuff recently....maybe if I ask him nicely?.....hmmmmm
Of course that will mean buying footwear to match.......shame :D

it is worse for your pocket..both look nice though..and some good leather crafts are a lot better than pvc and latex but they usually hurt your pocket a lot. usually people who like pvc like latex too. latex lovers are a bit more sceptical about pvc though. dont ask me why. i agree though that they all have their pros and cons.

It depends on the garment. I'm a great believer in big black coats. Big black coats are cool. They keep you warm when it's cold, dry when it's wet, looking heroic and cool when if they billow out behind you when it's windy. They have pockets to hold things and... Ooh, I'm getting exciting just talking about them.
They can also cover up whatever weird shit you're wearing underneath and stop you from getting arrested.
You can make big black coats out of leather. The normal wool/cashmere mix that C&A or Burtons make their coats out of is also good. Dark Angel do good big black coats, also.
If you're going to wear tight leather (or tight latex), for Bob's sake, please make sure you have the figure for it. I don't have the figure for it (I'm not fat, but I don't bulge with muscle either). There's nothing worse than seeing an excellent tight rubber or PVC outfit ruined by a beer belly.

I quite agree, both PVC and latex look great, but latex feels much nicer against skin. PVC stinks of smoke and sweat and stuff. Latex you just wash nicely and shine it with special sprays and it lasts you forever. I find it that my mini PVC skirt climbs up as I walk which is anoying if I'm not too keen to reveal too much. Latex does not exactly breath with you, but it moves with you (PVC moves against your wishes :? ) and retains its possition on your body. My mermaid skirt comes to life when I dance, it is a bizzare experience, feels like wrestling a Siamese tween joined at the knee (the tween had its sense of rhythm surgically removed at birth). Fun!
Btw Agatheis, where is this Dark angel place that sells big, long coats?

Im definately a Latex nut!
Anything which makes you look like you've lost a stone every time you put it on is fine by me! Also makes a great sound when slapped and you smell of rubber instead of smoke/sweat etc as with pvc.i mean honestly, theres no comparison!
Incidentally, does anyone wear rubber to slimes?-ive never managed to actually make it ther but am going to try to get to this one if i can sort out wardrobe issues

I wear rubber to Slimelight when the weather is suitable and on a three floors night when it is less crowded (therefore less likely for clothes to be ruined by people who don't know how to hold a cigarette! ).
Thank you Agatheis for posting TheDarkAngel site, it is awesome, and compared to, let's say fairygothmother, it is not expensive either. The metal bits on my New Rocks are ripping apart the lining on my long coat, if I do replace it I will be more than happy to show the new coat off (dreadful, there are no emoticons to describe how awfully girlish that must have sounded!?).
I sometimes wear a rubber dress ... lurvley!

I don't wear rubber. I wear it enough as it is, and it doesn't do me any favours.
