I agree with Setesh that parts of it are pure cheese on toast.
But it is a stylish film with a nice dark atmosphere to it and some great visuals.

There are some great quotes and giggles in it too...

And the soundtrack is awesome.

I could go on to say that I hate thrash/black/death metal because the fan base are a bunch of cunts but I wouldn't want to tar everyone with the same brush.....

I really like the Crow. Altho I'm probably a bit biased as I'm always getting told that I look like Brandon Lee and I really love the soundtrack.

The TV shows, novels and the sequel are definately a pile if shit. Even Iggy Pop couldn't save the sequel from been awful. The animated book by James O barr which the movie is based on is pretty good. But apart from The Crow and a bit of Batman I haven't read many animated books so my opinion on any probably doesn't mean much

Believe it or not there were 3 further films made, all were shit and The Crow 4 (which had Kirsten Dunst in it) went straight to vid in America and was never even released over here.

Yeah, the second one was The Crow, City Of Angels ... it was pretty lame with very wooden acting and basically the same story line, but to its credit, there was some great imagery in it and a great soundtrack I seem to remember. There is a scene where the Crow is riding through a rundown dockland area on a black Ducati Monster, chasing some guy on a Harley and it's set against a dark red sky ... looks fabulous and has a great tune in the background, but I'm buggered if I can remember what tune it was now.
