I saw this in yesterday's Lovestruck in the London Paper (You read the whole thing when you are on a tube for an hour!!)
I can't remember it exactly -
"To the beautiful guy in white shirt and black dress at Slimelight on NYE, I was going to pounce on you at midnight, but I got ill
Miss Kitti."
Was this you?
Were you the guy?
Where is the love?

A white shirt and a black dress? I have an image of some kind of Julie Andrews/Maria type outfit here... :o

I was wearing clothes matching that description on NYE (and indeed, most other Saturdays) but I doubt anyone could mistake me for beautiful even in Slimelight's poor illumination.
Nevertheless, my housemates responded to that advert with some inane drivel last night anyway.

.
Firstly you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.
Secondly, a combination of the Slime lighting, and people's proclivities for recreational pharmaceuticals, I am sure that people find all sorts of strange things attractive at Slime

ah i read that on the train back from uxbridge! how twee!
Crikey - I hope nobody who knows me reads this and thinks it is me!!! Reading this almost gave me a heart attack, due to spooky coincedences:-
1. I kind of like (but don't like at the same time) somebody who matches that very description, though it is a skirt not a dress
2. I was actually poorly on NYE and left early as a consequence
3. It is just the kind of mad, crazy thing I am capable of doing - for my own amusement and the amusement of friends.
EEK - THE SHAME!!!!! On this occassion I am definitely not responsible though :(
(Forgive my rambling - I occassionally read but don't join in!)

Just to clarify, the original advert did actually say skirt, not dress. In fact, here's a scanned copy of it :

You weren't slightly drunk, and sent a text without remembering?

Looks like you have an admirer my dear!!

Wouldn't be unheard of, but on this occasion definitely not guilty - seems a bit long for my capabilities considering the state I was most likely in! Funny tho!!
