i know this is rude, but saturday nights music was way below what i've become accustomed to.
fair enough to changes and such, but the whole night (i didnt get there til 3am) that i was there for was in my opinion not very good, apart from the odd song.

well i think saturday 3rd was cool. some very dancable music on the industrial floor :) thank you mr dj, whoever it was, i dont know who you are that was playing the really cool music.

quite early in the evening i got one of my female associates to ask you (mr dj. sorry dont know who you are, but hope you read this) the artist of a song that was playing on the industrial floor, but only to recieve a jumbled drunken report back from her. oh well.

A set list would b nice :)

i dont think itsd the djs i think its the sound equipment cos they chaing the djs as the night gose on and they all sounded funny on both floors or its just my ears that are fucked but alot of ppl did point it out to me that it was funny sounding

On Saturday, July 3rd i've been at the Slimelight for the first time. I like the club and the visitors. The Music on both floors was good but not very different to Germany. I'll be back soon :-)

i think the music was if-ish, I noticed certain dj's were not present, no names mentioned, hence the rather less than ok-ish vibe.
I hope on my next visit things will be different.

1.Fashionable lateness probably applies to some.
2.The unlikelyness of seeing through the full nine hours.
3.The general bad organisation and timekeeping of at least half the people I know from the place (including me) ;).
4.People wanting to avoida certain crowd (if there has been a gig there beforehand).
5.Inebraiation.

I just want to second the complaint about the loudness of the music on the indus-tech floor. I myself have been through all the safety aspects of sound levels at college and uni so I've gotten familiar with what's safe. It seems that some DJs (I don't know which ones) seem to boost the gain and bass EQ during their set and the bass boom reaches an unsafe level. I actually feel my eardrums pounding and end up leaving the floor to listen to EBM or get some air. Loud is great but not when it's uncomfortable...it gets to the point of spoiling it because too much bass distorts the hearing and you end up getting an inbalanced frequency response (can lead to permanent damage/deafness). Basically that's what that muffled sound after the night's finished is due to!
I'm not a kill joy, I love loud music, but there are limits.

my reason for ebing late was that, i was coming up from brighton, where i was stuck somewhere out in the stcicks!!! i was able to get a lift to the 11pm train which got me to victoria for 1230am and had to wait for a bus at just passed one that got me to kings X at almost two, where i was gonna get changed. but it was closed. so i wandered up to angel using back streets so i could change as i walked. meaning i didnt gte there til 3!!!!

but its true, it doesn't get that interesting til late - oneish i guess

absolutly correct, i usually end up having a day in camden where to a degree of help im in a differant mind, end up at angel about 10 with a small group of friends, i continuously say, "if we're going to turn up early at least stay out till about 11", i'd say lets go on a stoll or something, but every single time thanks to a team effort we end up going in at about 10:30 wich is a bit silly i thinkth

enspeccially as im there to meet people more than anything really so having an empty dance floor to talk to can be a bit.................shit (look mummy i spelt a swear word)

These are all true. But for me ... Well, I usually get mashed at home (10 mins walk away), then find I'm enjoying myself faffing around, so can't be bothered to rush at all ... in fact it just gets really rather leisurely!!

We want to live closer to slimes coz then it wouldnt be so expensive - we have to pay for travel as well as slime entrance fee.

Travelling is so knackering too, if we lived closer then we'd be able to last the nite longer!!

and its not only females I like to watch dancing. when the place fills up and there are lots of people on the dancefloor, i find just staring into the jungle of movement very fascinating. its actually quite hypnotizing!

Sure thing Sekrets...speaking to you online and briefly at Slimes it's obvious that a serious passion for music is what drives you. I can relate so much with that.
Sorry I wasn't very talkative that night at Crux/slimelight. It was just so hot I wasn't really in the talkative mood. Still is was great meeting you :)

Well let's just say that the 31st for me got a bit too hot.
You've probably already heard but the dancers from Crux got heat stroke and the vocalist nearly collapsed shortly after the gig. Kinda says a lot about the conditioning in the venue. I felt ill myself about an hour or so after the gig finished.
It's ok for a bit once you've got some air from near the entrance but I personally felt drained all night.
Gonna give the next few weeks a miss and most likely start again in September when I'm back in London. It's a shame coz I love the Slime nights...oh well
