Me and a few friends are planning on coming down for the new years eve which is a Sunday. Now I was thinking is Slimes open on the Saturday 30th as well or just the Sunday?

i got my new years eve ticket last weekend, i was told at the time that the ticket is valid for both nights, apparently....

There wasn't anything too special last NYE, free shots of vodka, bit of extra decor and a pause in music at midnight, but I reckon most folks get down since it's going to be a time to see people you haven't seen in a while, since "everyone" gets down there then.

Nah you often get free shots of Absinthe at the door and the smell of extra sweat from the extra punters that come down.

here comes the first "im a cheeky bastard arent i" post of december... any locals / close to a tub station dwellers fancy being a good samaritan and letting a lost geordie crash at theirs for a few hrs of new years morning (between the slimes) - queen heads or ale offered for the trouble :)

Ok, apart from people being friendlier than usual(which nowadays it is easy considering how stiff the new regulars are) thanks to the visit of some of the old regulars and the music being better than usual, people feeling extra generous and finally dropping some tips at the bar and cloakroom, there is nothing"special".

But then what is special about a 31st of December??? Just another night on the calendar, yeah? Everything will still be the same shit the day after anyway, despite what we all want with our best wishes and"firm" resolutions...(Is it healthy posting so early in the morning??:):rolleyes:)

Bands on NYE? Oh no, please! It is fine like that, believe me.

Moral of my post... If you like Slimeligh, are in London, have no better plan and spare a tenner(not a bad price considering than more than likely the staff is getting paid more for their job), why not go??????:confused:
