a light for the double doors

please could we have a light for the top of the stairway that is of some use- this appears to have been the cause of one finger break, once finger mutilation and one removal that i know of.

Ok, two things;

1. OUCH!!

2. How the hell did these people manage to get their fingers broken/mutliated/removed in the door?! The only way I can visualise this is if theyre standing in the doorway, possibly holding the door frame, or have their hands somewhere where you just really shouldnt/wouldnt put them. Im not saying that the people involved were at fault, but I'm genuinely intrigued as to how the heck they managed that.

aparently there was a piece of wood put up to stop people getting their fingers caught in the door, but little ol'me wanders along without a care in the world and TA-DA magic!!!

I SAY WE START A MOVMENT!!!, TO GET THE DOORS REPLACED WITH ANDREX TISSUE OR SOMETHING.

as it is the industrial and cybergoth floor i suggest sliding doors that open on approach and stop if anything gets trapped....

on another note... i am sure there are rules and regulations that apply to safety lighting, especially that its on top of stairs as well...

also a device that catches the door and closes it (not sure what it is called) could do the trick, as the door has to stay closed being a firedoor and all....

ps: if anyone would like to know how to make tubbie-toast follow these easy instructions, told to you like a rableing chef on TV or a very good Sekrets impression :)

1. open bag of bread, i choose hovis from the baked decorated in a baked bean desighn, this might not be your first choice but thats what im going to use today

2. get you piece of bread, try not to use the crusty bit at thee end as it tends to affect the cooking process and might come out funny

3. using thumbs and damaged fingers from slimelight doors squeeze a face shape onto the white bit of the bread,

4. change the setting of your toaster to coook one piece of bread, maybe if your hungry later you might cook more of if your really hungry now repeat instructions above to make 2 pieces in all

5.cook the "tubbie-toast" till its how you like it, i prefer to cook mine like i always cook food, to a charcoal, yet you may not like this and prefer not to cook the toast for as long

6. AFTER the toast has finished cooking remove from the toaster and there should be a smiling face back at you.

7' then cover with whatever you feel like, then cut it up and eat it like normal toast, thus wasting all your work

next i will tell you how to make "tubbie-custard", for wich you will need a paper-clip,a glue-stick some selletape, and 3 tarantulas

I've seen flexible plastic strips fitted at the hinge side of many doors in public places. They don't inhibit the movement of the door at all (I've seen them used on marked fire doors) and makes it impossible to trap a finger between the door and frame.

What a great idea Snowwy. I think you could have the added bonus of whenever the doors slid open, they closed the entrance to the upstairs toilets, just for the humour value.


It always annoys me that people don't notice there are 2 doors at the top and middle floors, so they stand and wait for you to come through, instead of just going through the other door. Maybe we could have rules like in restaurants, where you only go through the left door, or is it right?
