Just had to mention...
I'm such an EVIL DEAD fan!!!
I remember watching the first two at like 7 or 8 yrs old with my dad he used to let me watch all sorts of horrors. He had the uncut Betamax version when it was banned still lol...at the time I was one of the few lucky ppl of my generation at the time to have seen the completely uncut version :)...my dad has always been so cool like that since I can remember. My mum was over-protective of me so she didn't find out hehehe
Evil dead 2 is the best of the three IMO but I love em all...Hail to the king of budget horror-comedy: BRUCE CAMPBELL

Bruce Campbell is the best! :D

I've just picked up his new movie, Bubba H-Tep, on dvd from the US. He plays an ageing Elvis who, while in a retirement home discovers that there is a Cowboy zombie eating the residents, and tries to stop him!

I haven't watched it yet (only arrived yesterday), but it looks great! Think I'll be watching it this weekend.

They have just been released on DVD but most of what made them good has been culled from these new issues

Yeah a friend of mine who's into movies big time, but sadly downloads most of em grr, sent me a link to a site with info on the Bubba film.
Sounds really funny. I mean I just can't imagine what Bruce is gonna look like as an Elvis...I'll see it n believe it for sure!
Obviously without spoiling it do let me know what your verdict of it is once you've seen it.
Oh and were you there about 4 or 5 slimes ago when they had Evil Dead: Army Of Darkness playing on the big screen in the Indus-tech room?
I was telling Luci all about the trilogy that night and then we spent a weekend watching all three since she was interested by it. Her verdict was a thumbs up for all three *hip hip hurray!!!*

Well, I watched Bubba Ho-Tep over the weekend...it's most entertaining & possibly the most surreal film I've seen since Being John Malkovich!

I really don't want to say much about what happens in the film as not to spoil any of the surprises ;) but Bruce Campbell's performance is triple A to say the least...he has an ageing King of Rock down to a T!

Oh, and here's what he looks like with his make up on;

I don't think I was at Slime that week, or at least if I was I didn't see Army of Darkness being shown. Tis a great film...

"Hail to the king, baby!" ;)

That picture is sheer quality lol...I mean I really can't stand the actual Elvis (probably coz he had something arrogant about his 'character' but mostly coz of the way ppl, most are American too, have made it worse with all the talk about seeing him alive (whatever)) but I reckon Bruce looks pretty good as the quiffy haired bling of the RnR years dude!
Oh and speaking of Evil Dead: A of D quotes you can't forget the cheesey
"Gimme some sugar baby!"...where does he come up with that stuff?!
...and before you say it wasn't me ok :P

...or as Ash says "Plato Erato N..*sneeze*..u
There was rumour of a possible forth film...Net rumours are for the most part fake...
I'm hoping for another set in current times because of the alt ending in the S-Mart but I may end up just hoping and never getting...
any thoughts?
