This really sucks but it looks like myself and Cervello Elettronico might have some problems with our flights to the UK due to the current "TERROR" alert.

British Airways has posted the "start" of flight cancellations and other bloody bad news:

http://www.britishairways.com/travel/flightops/public/en_us

Regardless, we ARE going to the airport with all intent to GET ON THE FLIGHT and come play for you folks....

IF (and I say IF) we DONT make it for whatever reason, it is NOT our fault...and a amke up date will booked immediately.

This situation is WAY out of our control, obviously as you can see from the news on the TV and on the British Airways website.

I know a few of you over there would LOVE to see this show fall thru and NOT happen....and that's too bad.

But for the rest of you, we are making EVERY effort to make sure we can get to the airport with ample time to get thru security, and any other roadblocks in our way.

We plan on getting to the airport 5 hours BEFORE our flight, to ensure no issues.

This really pisses me off, but we are going to plow thru it and make every attempt to get to the UK this weekend. Traveling with as much electronic equipment as we are, (mixers, drum machines, samplers, laptops, wire, cables, etc. etc.), I can already forsee a major clusterfuck at the airport....bad enough that my laptop and other fragile/valuable gear is now going to be placed in the "checked in luggage" left to the hands of airline employees and the like.

Anyway, just a heads up to let you all know whats going on here.

I will post again when I have more infos, hopefully from somewhere in the U.K.

Soooo right, Bush and all those who support ANY war should just play war between themselves only and leave the rest of the world at peace. Why don't they blow themselves up with all their greed, hipocresy, lies and manipulation??? :D

Lately a few wars have been started against some countries that have little power to fight back with the same response, therefore they will attack in some other way. Normal... But a m*therf*cker at the same time! Believe me, it pisses me off to be a potential victim, the same way I guess those people in Beyrouth are(although I suspect they are more than pissed off), but it is what we are getting in view of the politics we agree to be ruled by because we all have big fatty lazy asses!!!!

Guys in case you have not noticed, we are all involved in this war thing but because we live comfortably with our mp3, public transport, day to day tedious routine and other endless shit, we don't realise until some angry geezers try to blow us up.

Assume it. I do. Everyday on my way to work in Soho. Everytime I book a flight to go somewhere to enjoy myself.

This is the reason why I have been for several years now and at the maximum extend I possibly could boycotting USA and Israel(they are both the "same country", btw...) products. Not much, but in this era where money is the most important and where I hear everyday at work that you have to try and sell that little 50 pence extra more which will imply a nice boost on profits, I know I do my bit. Some people I know have decided to do the same and they do. I still drink the odd Coca-Cola, buy some american bands music and use Boiengs when flying out, but-read my lips- I try to boycott as much as I possibly can. No, I do not buy Demonia brand stuff-I was about to buy this gorgeous pair of boots one day in Camden, asked the guy where they came from and when he said USA, I apologised and said that I could not buy them because I boycott american products. The guy(from Middle East) was like struck by lightning and tried to trick me by saying they were made in China(really, that makes thinks even worse... USA designing and getting China to make it at low cost to get yet even more profit???), but I left with my heart broken and £50 quid more in my pocket and feeling kinda better.

This is the reason I still need to go out and try to enjoy myself in a place such as wonderful Slimelight with its amazing music. Escape from reality.

Now, Terrorfakt if anybody is as stupid to blame you for not getting here for saturday night, it is their problem and you should not even think of apologising for it.

Let me just say a silly joke in the hope of making you smile: It is the "war on Terror" affecting Slimelight... There we go.

I really do not think anybody hates you so much as to be happy not to see you playing at all. Actually, I think those who don't like what you do will simply not feel affected, but I do not think they will have a special gathering to celebrate.

Have a good day ahead all of you, whereever you live and may you be lucky enough not to get injured by any blast provoked by any bomb or grenade in your life! This is the best wish that comes across my mind these days. :)

Blimey, it is a bit early for this long post, is it???

You know what...

My second inmediate thought after learning about the Heathrow thing is that Alcoholic beverages companies and also perfumes are going to be damn pissed off with that intent of attack. (Ahh poor little lovely companies...:( Both stinking soooo much for many reasons!)

Sit back and think for a little moment.

No liquids allowed in hand luggage. Ooooops! What a drop in sales for duty free shops!

And now, reading my e-newspapers I see that people are increasing their luggage weight and therefore have to pay more.

Sooooo, I see that on one hand the goodies are making their war on terror by bombing countries and on the other, the baddies are succeeding in scaring us and messing up commercial trade (attacks on thursdays in London are dreadful for commerce, airplanes and trains, holiday resorts and now liquid...)...

Who wins?

Nah, does not surprise me. After 11/09 they decided not to allow lighters on board. Tobacco companies complained big time to the powers saying that it would imply a drop in their sales and that did not like that. Lighters became then allowed.

Mr. Terrofakt, I get the feeling that we will have the pleasure to meet you here tomorrow. It will not be easy for sure, but you will make it.

I saw it on my Crystal Ball!!!;) :p

Having just checked the BA site for Ben's flight number, it gives original arrival time and new estimated arrival time. Nothing mentioning cancellations so the flight should be in the air as I write this, hopefully with Ben and Dave on board!
