I am no longer justifying every minute of my working life against budget codes.
As of [as soon as I sort out my current workload ;-) ] I will be on the proper IT Support desk for Islington Council, not just the Installations [IE plugging in computers] team.
As such, I *will* be out at Slimes this Saturday night/Sunday morning, and I might even be in a good mood. :-0
Pay rise, working from home rights, and less overtime [thank god] are on the cards.
As for tonight - I have beer, cigarettes and curry, and I am going to get wrecked and enjoy myself.
That is all - other than to say that if you see a chap in black, head to foot, with a full length suit cut leather jacket on Saturday night/Sunday morning, possibly banging on about Visigoth black reflective armbands, then feel free to call me a jammy git ;-)
Shamone!

You have too much time in your hands to be posting so much. :D
Disclaimer: This in no way indicates that I would not be guilty of the same

PMSL. You think this is bad?
On the Evo Magazine Forum [car mag online presence] in it's early days when I was working at BT, on a dead contract where we were handling overflow calls from a callcentre that had nicked our contract, we were getting perhaps two callseach in an eight hour shift.
In the space of nine months, I managed 15,000 posts.
On the current iteration of the Evo forum, I have just passed 10,000 posts in the two years since i got DSL in my shared flat.
I have far too much time on my hands, I can assure you, from having nothing better to do ;-)
[the ultimate irony of having over 25,000 posts on a car forum is that I don't have a driving license - get your head around that :-D
Anyway, I've had a promotion, and I'm currently getting a tad pished. Random posts will continue over the course of the evening while I can still focus :-)

Beers on me this time to be honest - I also gave my accountants the bollocking of a lifetime for screwing my pay up, making it a week late. Today I went to the bank to find it had been CHAPS'd [same day payment] to my account as of 8am this morning.
Someones boss gave someone a good bollocking I suspect.
I have money, I have a new job, I have Revels* - wanna hang? :-D
*not the coffee ones tho, they are rank.
Steven R - three cans down.
Well done on your promotion sir!!!
Why did you post on a car forum? ... everyone knows they are slow!
Maybe see you at Slime.

Ah, but this car forum is no ordinary car forum.
It is the online prescense for Evo Magazine, a glossy sports car rag.
However, the content is a tad loose, to say the least. No point me trying to explain it, instead click here (http://www.bluwiki.org/go/Evo_Magazine_Forum_Wiki) for the BluWiki.
Evo forum is actually one of the fastest forums I have ever been on - normally gets about 500 posts and 30 topics a day, most of them, admittadly, tosh.
It's entertaining however, which is good enough for me.
I shall be heading in tonight for an 2300-0000ish arrival time. I will probably have a pint before I go to queue so I can pluck up the guts to ask someone to sign me in...

30 topics / 500 posts a day? That seems a tad slow to me. The forum I frequent in probably gets that kind of numbers in their Off-Topic section alone. :D

I don't frequent that many forums, and those numbers are guesstimates ;-)
Regualr haunts for me are as follows:
Evo Magazine Forum
Canon Photography On The Net Forum [anyone want to be a model? ;-) ]
Revolutions.me.uk forum [muppet car site]
Here.
And occasionally GirlRacer to berate the saddos who only register on there to try to find a burd to shag, or to show off their monstrosity of a chavved up Nova. A common source of entertainment for me.
My main medium is Spam.
HTH.
Anyway, if anyone sees me in Slimes tonight, ask me if I have Revels, and if you can hang with me. Just don't ask for coffee Revels or I will glare at you.

I wasn't refering to the speed of the forum, but the speed of those contraptions they discuss on there!! ;)

Did I mention it was a performance car forum? ;-)
Everything from Mini Cooper Ss to 180bhp Austin Minis to silly tune skylines.
It's like pistonheads, but with less anal retentiveness, no boatshoes or self congratulation, and far less maturity.
The irony being that as one of the old timers there, I don't have a driving license :-P
