Maybe we should have one topic dedicated for photos, (lets say 3 max?) so if we decide to meet in Slimes, or we see someone in Slimes who is on here we can start a conversation or whatever?

I've seen it being used on a couple of message boards and it has worked well.

No, fair enough, its a reasonble idea, although as Miss IW suggests, you could just put your picture in the Avatar. Then problem with these things is that they tend to be colonised by non-Slimelighters, which kind of defeats that object – and, as my colourful activity across this forum has evidenced, there isn’t really much moderation.

On the plus side, I like any plan that allows me to put up pictures of other people and then engage in a campaign of even more abuse than normal :)

Well, I didn't want to raise the mail-order bride soundalike .sig, in case BlancheduBois suddenly turned up to accuse me of being a middle-class neo-colonialist. Ya know? I'm a sensitive soul really.

Perfection? For me this combination of the certain external beauty to internal beauty. It is important, that there would be a harmony

You mean then, that what they do should go in harmony with what they think and feel??

Sorry, we are from different cultures using a language that is not even ours. This can easily lead to confusions. You may be saying something and me understanding something very different... I am sure you know what I mean. This is one of the huge problems of Humanity, trying to communicate something and actually not succeeding. Then, people who are listenning, get a wrong message and conflict may appear. And usually it does. Everyday. On the bus, in the shop, on a dancefloor, on a forum...

What values are important for you in a person??

You do like beautiful people as you said. What do you think of ugly people?? What is ugly for you??

I appreciate in people honesty, and readiness to accept the responsibility for the words and acts, still skill to communicate in dialogue, own sights of the person, lability of thinking. It is pleasant to me when in the person there are such sides which it distinguish, but only if they are not affected very much I do not love a facade and infantilism. I love when the person has own opinion, but thus it respects with the point of view of other people and is capable to recognize the mistakes. And so I like not ordinary people whom if everyone go directly forward, they necessarily go on a diagonal. To draw my attention the person it should be allocated from crowd, but it not about appearance. For me very important what the person was interesting - differently with it there is nothing will speak.
I do not love silly, malicious and envious people - they for me are ugly.

Things are getting clearer to me, now...

You see, I had the first impulse of posting something nasty to you, but I stepped aside and realized that maybe I was not understanding properly what I was reading...

Now let me give you a couple of advices. I do not know if you have already lived abroad or if next year will be the first time.

Firstly, do try to improve your english because if you do, you will make yourself understood much better and it does look like you want to say what you think quite quickly and aggressively. You will also get a better job quicker if your intention is to work here.

Secondly, when one goes to another country, it is a MUST to adapt to the customs of that country, like when you go to someones place and respect the rules of the house, for instance. In this country, things will be very different from what you are used. People do not behave the way you are used to. They talk in a certain manner, they expect from you certain forms and if you do not comply, you will never be accepted and you will never integrate. It can be very hard. It is very hard. But as a guest, we have to behave and accept those norms of our hosts. This apply to every country. No exception here. Overlook local customs and you will not be welcome. Quite normal. So come down a little bit and learn that things are said in a different way here. Just observe. It is a good exercise.

Thirdly, people have a facade constantly and everywhere. Even your best friends can become your worst enemies from a day to the other. Things change constantly and do not expect that some people will never surprise you. If you intend to visit Slimelight, you will find even more people who are hiding behind an image. Fears, insecure behaviours, you name it... And this is all so normal!! In such an aggressive world were one that seems the strongest is seen as the best, nobody wants to look/be weak.

Forhtly, to recognize ones weaknesses and try to overcome it by improving genuinely(and this means not expecting that anybody is going to do that for them-cos it is an internal work, not something that comes from outside), is a huge sign of strenght. Don't be fooled, young lady by those who look strong, because chances are that they will fall in their own traps...

I hope I have made myself clear enough.

I will not post any picture of me. I am ugly as hell, outside, inside. I stink and, on top of that, I am an ignorant...

Good to meet you!

Yes, I understand perfectly, that norms of behaviour and sights at the certain things very much differ. I already observed it in the winter when was in London. But I did not have problems with dialogue, on the contrary to me have very friendly concerned, in Slimeligt I have got acquainted with some interesting people, we till now communicate. I have problems with language, I shall learn in London at language school, and then already to enter the institute.

Then, you are bound to success here in London. :)

For the one bedroom appartment, blimey, I forgot these existed. Not only I am ugly and all that, but I am also poor and share a flat. Still, it is Islington, but it is a bargain. So, I don't know. Then again, it depends on what area of London you are planning to live in and a couple of things more...

Depends on the area and quality of the apartment, like property in all countries. The cheapest you will find is about £200 for a month, but it will be - cheap. The top end a couple of thousand.

You might be better off renting a hotel room or try googling for short term lets (signing up for a longer contract to get a cheaper rate under a fake name then running back to your own country would be mean).

Please convert dollars to pounds next time, using for example this: http://www.xe.com/ucc/ People living in Britain probably have little idea what US dollars equilevant in pounds, since there is little need in practical life for those conversions. 1000 dollars would be about 600 pounds and I bet you can't get an apartment of your own (as opposed to shared flat) for 600 pound rents in the city. However, 600 pounds a month should be able to get you a flat on the less expensive sub-urbia surrounding London.

Yes it is valid about 600 pounds. Means, for this money it is possible to rent the apartment only in suburb?

If you want an apartment of your own, I think so. I'm hardly an expert though.

If you agree to share a bigger apartment with other people, you might get it down to smaller sums.

I would say it depends on the alignment of celestial bodies. Generally it would be the Black Lodge, but at certain hours it adopts the aspects of the White Lodge and in unusual circumstances when the whistles of netherworld sound clear it becomes the Grey-ooze Lodge.

I'm not sure who I can be - I was thinking of the dancing dwarf, because I like to dance, but Stargazer already stole that one...

There's Leland Palmer but, well, it just doesn't seem right....

No Leland Palmer, dear.

You should know who you are... And that is Dennis Bryson!

Coopy... Be reasonable...

Why do you ask the log such silly questions?

I am not involved with Cherry Pies or coffees...

I think you need to meet up with Audrey and stop asking about the Cherry pies.

You know Audrey is good with cherries(as pointed out by Mike earlier) and she is very fond of you. Take her to Slime tomorrow and get some dancing, mate!! ;)

She looked for answers everywhere... She was lost.

The moral of the story as I see it is that everyone has two sides, the good one and the bad one for balance. If one gets stronger than the other, then imbalance occurs and then we are fucked. Oops! Excuse my spanish!:D
