More Avatar queries

My avatar isn't being displayed, and I have no option to upload using the private messages/profile route, but if I go via Your_Account, it is displayed in all its glory!

Dave (admin) has diasabled the upload avatar option (along with the option to upload pics to the gallery) after the attack on the site the other week.

I'm not sure why the avatars aren't being displayed in the forums tho, cuz as you mentioned they're evidently still on the site as you can see them in your profile.

Some avatars pictures are not showing up, because we have disabled the custom avatar upload option for security reason, this caused that the original path to your custom avatar is not allowed which in fact means that your avatar can't load and display in you browser.
I'll try to come with some solution, today.

No worries DC, just because we whinge a lot doesn't mean that we don't appreciate the efforts you put in.

At the end of the day, if we can't have custom avatars, it isn't exactly a big loss.

That's because it comes from the avatar gallery on the site.

I found it was very particular about the size and pixel definition, try making it smaller....

Looks like trhe usual suspects are coming back slowly, Flux and Rivet are back, now it's just a few others...

Mine wouldn't upload at all without completely destroying the defiinition, so I stuck it in some web-space and linked to it.

When they fixed the avatars, back it came of it's own accord!

Sorry folks forgot to tell you, that custom avatars (picture upload and remote picture) is now enabled.

Go to Forum > Profile > Avatar Control Panel

Some links to previous avatars have been lost, so if yours is not showing up, please upload it again or select it from the gallery.

Should you have any suggestion how to expand our Avatars picture gallery, let us know and include a download link where to get them from ;)

Go here : http://www.slimelight.net/Sportal/modules.php?name=Forums

Click on 'profile' at the top. On the next screen, put the avatar details at the bottom, and pay attention to the maximum size (100X100, no more than 20kb).


Once you've set you avatar up, if you edit your profile again it will be lost. You'll have to go through the above process to add it back again.
