There's some news from the US-Tour from Hocico, don't know if you've already heard about it.



Hocico tour ends in injury

Hocico ended their first US tour in support of Haujobb recently, with more than just bruises. In Montréal, front man Erk Aicrag hurt his arm during an enthusiastic leap but healed well. Close to the end of their tour at Slims in San Francisco, Erk had an incident with broken glass in his hand and plenty of blood (not fake). Soon after the gig, he was off to the hospital and is now recovering.
Hocico is working on a new remix for Apoptygma Berzerk to appear on their next single. The Mexicans met front man Stephan Groth this summer during their lengthy European tour.

I have seen them about 3 times in the last year, they are regulars at Sundissential. 2 of the sets have been amazing, the other was a bit iffy. I think cos their music can be a bit samey. you have to be in the right mood for it, and it depends if they are playing a HARD house set, or a hard HOUSE set, if you get what I mean.

This Morn' Omina are fantastic - have now released 5 albums (the last one of which is a retrospective of their older work - mid-nineties). Everything I've heard is great and they have an impressive live performance I've been told. Start with '7 Years of Famine' (re-released on Ant-Zen) and then buy anything you can find. Good luck.

Well.. that was just my first listen to it, never heard any of their previous stuff, so don't know what they were like before. But i did quite like this album, although it did feel a bit hit and miss at first, it kinda grew on me... and for myself anyway, it is more hit than miss :)
